Bulldogs Bats hot in Season Opener

The Royse City Bulldogs began their mission to get back to the playoffs this year with an 11-1 win over the Woodrow Wilson Wildcats in Royse City tonight!

Woodrow went down 1-2-3 in the top of the 1st. In the bottom of the inning, leadoff hitter Lacey Hicks flied out for the first out of the inning. Jade Bryant was hit by a pitch bringing up the right handed power hitting shortstop, Bria Duffey. Bryant took off for 2nd, but it didn’t matter because Duffey pulled the 1-1 pitch over the left centerfield wall for a 2-0 lead. Aubrey Watkins scored on a passed ball 3 batters later to extend the Bulldogs lead to 3-0 and the Bulldogs never looked back.
