The Wildcats cut the lead to 3-1 in the top of the 3rd, but the Bulldogs answered back with 6 runs in the bottom of the 3rd to extend their lead to 9-1.
The Bulldogs would tack on 2 more runs in the bottom of the 5th to extend their lead to 11-1 and end the game.
The Wildcats ended the game scoring 1 run on just 4 hits while committing 2 errors. Maddux-Martin pitched 4.1 and gave up 11 runs (4ER) on 9 hits, while walking 7, striking out none and giving up the 2 run homer to Duffey in the 1st.
The Bulldogs ended with 11 runs on 9 hits. Duffey (HR), Mitchell (2B) and Hicks (3B) all had extra base hits while the team also combined for 5 stolen bases. Nienstedt pitched 4 innings, giving up just 3 hits and 1 run while striking out 5 and walking 2. Hannah Richmond pitched a scoreless 5th giving up just 1 run with 1K.
The Bulldogs will participate in the Forney Softball Tournament beginning on Thursday, 2/15.
